3 self-acclaimed Islamic clerics who specialize in scamming unsuspecting members of the public have been apprehended by the Ogun state police command.
The suspects, who were identified as Aliu Abdulfatai, 50; Sule Adebayo, 36 and Lekan Olokodana, 31 were also accused of raping their female victims.
The Ogun state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that a female victim reported at Adigbe Police Station that the suspects duped her of N70,000 and was also raped by one of them.
She also disclosed that one of the suspects had used the proceeds of his fraudulent act to set up a private school in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
