Today, death was averted in Nsukka area of Enugu State as a 200-Level student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) tried to take her life by drinking an insecticide known as Sniper.
36Naija reports that the victim, who has been identified as Chinwendu Odoh, who is a student of Microbiology hails from Enugu Ezike in Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Upon drinking the insecticide, she was rushed to the Royal Cross Hospital, Nsukka by Neighbours who noticed she was grimacing.
The Enugu state police spokesman, Superintendent Ebere Amaraizu said that the operatives of the Nsukka Police Division are investigating the matter.
“Information from some sympathizers are pointing towards depression over an unresolved issue,” he added.
For now, we can confirm that Chinwendu Odoh is recuperating. However, the reason for her action remains unknown.
