Paris Saint-Germain sporting director, Leonardo has said that “no agreement” has been made for the transfer of Neymar to Barcelona.
Recall that 36Naija Sports had reported that PSG and Barcelona had met on Tuesday to discuss a potential deal for the Neymar Jr.
Both parties value Neymar Jr at 200m euros (£182m), with Barcelona offering a cash-plus-player deal.
After PSG’s 2-0 Ligue 1 victory at Metz, Leonardo said that the club refused Barca’s offer because the offer didn’t suit them. The La Liga transfer deadline is on Monday at 23:00 BST and Barca will be hoping to complete a deal for Neymar.
In 2017, Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona for a world-record fee of 222m euros (£200m). He is unable to play for PSG this season because he is recovering from an ankle injury which he sustained while playing for Brazil in June.
Barcelona have offered Jean-Clair Todibo and midfielder Ivan Rakitic, plus forward Ousmane Dembele on a season-long loan, but all 3 players have rejected the move.
