The government of Ebonyi state has announced the removal of the state Commissioner for information and orientation, Mr Ken Uhuo.
The reason for Ken Uhuo’s removal was made in a statement which was signed and issued in the state capital (Abakaliki) by Dr Kenneth Ugbala, Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The Ebonyi state government alleged that Mr Ken Uhuo lacked direction in the performance of his official duties as the commissioner of information and orientation of the state.
“The state government wishes to thank Uhuo for services rendered so far as commissioner.
According to the statement, the State government wishes him the best in his future endeavours. Also, the government and pledged to re-evaluate and appoint him in another position considered suitable for him.
“Uhuo is directed to hand over all property of government in his possession to the next officer in rank in the ministry on or before the close of work on Aug. 28,”
The state government said.
36Naija Newspaper reports that Mr Uhuo is the 3rd member of the state executive council to be penalised since the reelection of Governor Dave Umahi for a 2nd term in office on May 29.
Earlier, the governor’s Special Assistants on Documentation and Project Monitoring (Ebonyi South) Mr Francis Nwaze and Mr Felix Otah were suspended from office.
