Former Torino defender, Davide Zappacosta is close to joining Roma on a season-long loan from Chelsea, according to 36Naija Sports.
The Italian international is yet to feature for Chelsea under new manager, Frank Lampard and is surplus to requirements at the Bridge.
Davide Zappacosta is set to complete his medical this week ahead of a potential move to the Stadio Olimpico.
Zappacosta joined Chelsea from Torino in 2017 under former coach, Antonio Conte and he went on to make 35 appearances in his first season in England.
Davide Zappacosta was part of the Chelsea squad that won the English FA Cup in May 2018. He was an unused substitute in the 1-0 final win over Manchester United at Wembley Stadium.
Last season, he made just 4 English Premier League appearances under Maurizio Sarri, with a majority of his appearances coming in the Europa League title.
