The Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, has sent her retirement letter to President Muhammadu Buhari.
It was learned that Oyo-Ita who had been under pressure from her immediate family to retire after news reports emerged that she was being probed over an alleged N3 billion contract scam, she bowed to family pressures over the weekend.
A report by TheCable said Oyo-Ita sent in a letter on Sunday, August 18, offering to proceed on retirement.
The report sighted by 36Naija.com, says President Buhari is yet to take a final decision on it but is, however, favourably disposed to the option.
A family member, who asked not to be named, told TheCable on Monday morning that,
“Mrs Oyo-Ita has sent in her letter of retirement.”
